Dear Nolan Catholic High School Community,
It is my pleasure to announce Mrs. Leah Rios as the next principal of Nolan Catholic High School.
As an educator, Mrs. Rios brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Nolan. Mrs. Rios is entering her eighteenth year in education. Moving through the ranks of teaching toddlers through high school aged students and earning State Teaching and Principal Certification, ESL, Montessori, and Outdoor Learning Certifications has allowed her to gain a broad perspective on educating children. These experiences led to obtaining a Masters of Education from Southern Methodist University, a Certified Academic Language Therapist’s License (Dyslexia Therapist), experience as a Reading/Writing Specialist, 504 and RTI Coordinator, and Instructional Leader/Presenter. This has not only enabled her to help her own children, but also any child the Lord places before her. She has made it her life’s mission to help students understand and use gifts and talents to work through the challenges and blessings the Lord offers.
Mrs. Rios took on her first leadership role in Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Fort Worth in 2011 as the Academic Specialist at St. Andrew Catholic School. She went on to become the Assistant Principal for the 2014-2015 school year. In 2015, Mrs. Rios was appointed principal of Saint Maria Goretti School. In conjunction with those duties and responsibilities, Mrs. Rios became the learning support specialist for the Diocese of Fort Worth in 2016. In both roles, Mrs. Rios has established best practices for learning through professional development of teachers in working to provide the best course of study for students and their families. Mrs. Rios looks forward to walking with the students, staff, and community on this new journey at Nolan Catholic High School.
Mrs. Rios will begin the process of selecting the next Assistant Principal and Dean of Students for Nolan Catholic High School. I have every confidence Mrs. Rios will continue to move Nolan forward as a Catholic school of excellence in the Diocese of Fort Worth.
Please join me in welcoming our new principal Mrs. Leah Rios to the Nolan Catholic High School.
